Three suspects, including a 14-year-old, were arrested by Waitematā West Area Police in West Auckland after fleeing in a car spotted by a Police Eagle helicopter. The vehicle was abandoned, and the occupants tried to escape on foot, but were caught by police. The 14-year-old will appear in court, facing charges of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, failing to stop, and interfering with a motor vehicle. Senior Sergeant Damian Albert praised the swift arrests as a reminder that offenders will be held accountable.
