Lt. Tracy Wilhoit, a 28-year veteran of the Anson County Sheriff's Office, passed away. Wilhoit served in various positions, including detention officer, shift sergeant, and Civil Division lieutenant. The cause of his death remains undisclosed. Sheriff Scott Howell requested prayers for Wilhoit's family and staff. A funeral service will take place on August 22 at First Baptist Church, Wadesboro, followed by internment at Bethlehem Cemetery.
