Johnson & Johnson to acquire V-Wave, a medical device maker, in a deal worth up to $1.1 billion. The acquisition is part of J&J's strategy to drive growth after the expiration of Stelara's patent. V-Wave's heart implant device, awaiting US clearance, will contribute to the deal's expected earnings impact in 2024 and 2025. J&J has recently made similar acquisitions, such as Shockwave Medical for $13.1 billion in April and Proteologix for $850 million.
