37-year-old man drowned at Diamond Lake on August 17 after jumping into the water from a boat and not resurfacing. Search efforts by Douglas County Sheriff's Office, local agencies, and volunteers were unsuccessful until dark. The search has resumed with additional resources from local and state agencies, and the victim's name is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
