UK's NDA awards £30m in contracts for research and innovation in decommissioning techniques.

The UK's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) awards £30m in contracts to drive research and innovation in decommissioning techniques, aiming to develop safe, sustainable, and cost-effective methods for the country's oldest nuclear sites. The investment supports a diverse range of organisations, including universities, national laboratories, and SMEs, and is part of the NDA's annual £100m R&D commitment. The contracts will run for four years, replacing the Direct Research Portfolio awarded in 2020.
