Portland International Airport's (PDX) $2.15bn main terminal renovation, doubling the airport's footprint, is now open. Inspired by Pacific Northwest nature, the terminal features a forest-like atmosphere with live trees, plants, and skylights. It uses sustainable, locally sourced wood materials and aims to double passenger capacity to 35 million by 2045. The project's second phase will add exit lanes, meet-and-greet areas, and more local shops and restaurants.
