Nigerian football teams Rangers and Remo Stars both secured narrow 1-0 and 2-1 victories, respectively, in their first leg CAF Champions League preliminary matches on Sunday. Rangers defeated Comoros' US Zilimadjou with Frank Uwumiro's 22nd-minute goal, while Remo Stars overcame Moroccan team AS FAR with goals from Nduka Junior and Sodiq Ismeal. Both Nigerian teams aim to advance further in the CAF Champions League.
