Japan's core machinery orders, a key indicator of corporate spending, increased 2.1% in June, marking the first growth in three months. Orders reached 876.1bn yen ($6.02bn) excluding ship and power equipment. Manufacturer orders fell 0.3% to 422.4bn yen, while non-manufacturer orders rose 2.4% to 450.4bn yen. Although an upturn, the Cabinet Office stated that the pick-up remains at a standstill.
