Galesburg police responded to a shooting on 1435 Moshier Avenue on August 17, at 8:30 pm, where they found Heath D. Williams Sr. with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures and transporting him to the hospital, Williams later succumbed to his injuries. Investigations by Galesburg Police, Knox County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police, and Knox County State's Attorney's Office are underway.
