On August 18, flash floods in Connecticut prompted suspension of some train services including Metro-North Railroad's Waterbury and Danbury lines, as well as Amtrak services between New York and Philadelphia. NJ Transit also suspended some rail services due to weather-related issues near Newark International Airport. Train services resumed later with residual delays.
