Chinese biodiesel producers are seeking new markets in Asia and exploring the production of other biofuels due to EU tariffs on Chinese biodiesel taking effect. The EU has imposed anti-dumping duties of 12.8% to 36.4% on Chinese biodiesel, affecting over 40 companies. As a result, exports to the EU have fallen sharply, leading to Chinese producers looking at the marine fuel market and accelerating plans to build sustainable aviation fuel plants.
