Ambulance service provider, Hato Hone St John (HHStJ), is set to address life-threatening emergencies during a two-day strike by ambulance personnel on August 20 and 24, announced by First Union and the Amalgamated Workers Union New Zealand. Unions have notified HHStJ of a four-hour labour withdrawal from the beginning of their shifts. Plans are in place to ensure minimal disruption, with patient safety prioritized. In case of non-emergencies, people are advised to contact Healthline, their GP, or their local pharmacy.
