Algeria's President orders fuel oil shipment to Lebanon to address severe power shortage.
Algeria's President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has ordered immediate fuel oil shipment to Lebanon, addressing its severe power shortage. Algeria's Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, communicated the decision to Lebanese PM, Najib Mikati, in an effort to support Lebanon's electricity generation and restore its power grid. Lebanon's power crisis has been worsened by an inability to finance fuel imports due to its economic and financial crisis since 2019.
