47-year-old Latisha Sterling died after being struck by a vehicle outside a designated crosswalk in Phoenix on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. The driver remained at the scene, with no signs of impairment. A second incident, at 1:45 a.m., resulted in the death of 46-year-old David Pinkerton. The driver in this incident fled the scene before police arrived, and no suspect description or vehicle information has been released. Phoenix PD and Silent Witness are urging anyone with information to come forward. Both crashes are under investigation.
