Ukraine's President's Office briefed international partners on energy sector preparations, aiming to restore 3 GW electricity by end-of-year with support from gas-fired plants and backup sources for critical infrastructure.
Ukraine's President's Office held a briefing with international partners, discussing preparations for Ukraine's energy sector during the autumn and winter season. Energy Minister German Galushchenko stated that 3 GW of electricity generation can be restored by the end of the year with necessary funding and repairs, while international partners have provided gas-fired combustion plants for distributed electricity generation. Priority needs for restoration, repair, and launch of generation at facilities affected by Russian missile strikes, implementation of distributed generation projects, and provision of backup power sources for critical infrastructure were identified. The need for block-modular and modular boiler plants, cogeneration units, and generators to establish more independent heating systems was also highlighted.
