Due to rainy weather, Petrolia's 150th anniversary celebrations at Greenwood Park were impacted, causing several changes. The non-sectarian church service was moved to St. Paul's United Church, while Hard Oil Kids' Day events were relocated indoors or postponed. The Ricky Magic magic show and dance party moved to the Greenwood Recreation Centre. A Canada Day baseball rematch and roller skating were postponed with new dates to be announced. Bingo took place indoors at the Petrolia Lions Pavilion, and soapbox racing occurred on Huggard Street with registration at 9 a.m. and heats starting at 10 a.m.
