Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced the new SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support Scheme during his National Day Rally 2024 speech on August 18. The scheme will offer involuntarily unemployed lower- and middle-income workers up to S$6,000 in financial support for up to six months. In exchange for the aid, jobseekers must participate in training, career coaching, and job-matching services to help them find better employment opportunities.
