The NCRTC has inaugurated the Meerut South RRTS station, expanding the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor to 42 km. The Namo Bharat trains will operate from 6 am to 10 pm, reducing travel time from Sahibabad to Meerut South to 30 minutes. The Meerut South station features the largest parking facility in Uttar Pradesh, accommodating 1,200 vehicles, and aims to improve regional connectivity. The entire 82-km corridor is expected to be operational by June 2025.
