Former UNM Athletics Director Eddie Nuñez appointed as VP for Intercollegiate Athletics at University of Houston, pending board approval.
Eddie Nuñez, former University of New Mexico Athletics Director, is set to become the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Houston. During his 7-year tenure at UNM, Nuñez oversaw 53 NCAA Tournament appearances and 22 Mountain West titles. He played a key role in the construction of a new training center and hiring key coaches. Nuñez's new role is subject to final approval by the University of Houston System Board of Regents.
