Alberta judge reduces Edmonton driver's speeding fine, emphasizes risks to emergency responders.

An Alberta judge reduced Edmonton driver Cory Dowhan's speeding fine from $350 to $300 after he admitted to driving past a stopped emergency vehicle. Justice Robert Shaigec emphasized the dangers faced by emergency responders when motorists don't slow down for stopped vehicles on the side of the road. Dowhan received three demerits on his driving record and has until October 31st to pay the reduced fine.
