54-year-old convicted murderer, David McCord, serving a life sentence, has escaped from custody in Belfast. Last seen wearing a green jacket, black tracksuit bottoms, and carrying a red carrier bag on Castlereagh Road on August 16th, police are urging the public not to approach McCord but to contact 101 with reference number 607 of August 16th. The authorities are also appealing directly to McCord to surrender himself. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
