WASPI campaign secures meeting with UK Pensions Minister to discuss state pension age compensation scheme.

The Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) campaign, which fights for pension justice for women affected by state pension age changes, has secured a meeting with the new UK Pensions Minister, Emma Reynolds MP. The meeting will take place after the parliamentary summer recess, following the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman's recommendations that the Department for Work and Pensions committed maladministration by not adequately informing women about their state pension age increase. The meeting aims to discuss plans for a State Pension age compensation scheme for affected women, with potential compensation ranging from £1,000 to £2,950.
