U.S. federal judge temporarily halts Venu Sports launch due to FuboTV's antitrust lawsuit.

A U.S. federal judge has temporarily halted the launch of Venu Sports, a joint streaming service from Disney's ESPN, Warner Bros, and Fox. The judge granted an injunction following a lawsuit filed by FuboTV, which accused the media giants of anticompetitive behavior. FuboTV claimed that the three companies, which collectively control around 54% of all U.S. sports rights, could potentially exploit their dominant position in the market. The judge's ruling stated that FuboTV was likely to succeed in proving that the venture would violate antitrust laws, and that Fubo and consumers would face irreparable harm without the injunction. ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros Discovery have said they will appeal the ruling.
