South Africa's Social Security Agency (SASSA) reassures that doctors and nurses assessing disability grant applications are adequately trained. Eligible applicants, aged 18 and above, must be South African citizens, permanent residents, or refugees. The agency provides permanent and temporary grants for disabilities lasting more than 12 months and less than 6 months, respectively. Online booking of medical assessments is encouraged through the client portal.
