The National Investigation Agency (NIA) charged four individuals in a transnational organ trade racket in Kerala, involving organ trafficking to foreign countries like Iran. The accused, posing as medical tourism operators, lured vulnerable individuals to donate their organs for money, forging government documents to facilitate illegal activities. Three suspects are in custody, while one remains at large. The NIA took over the case on July 3 and continues to investigate.
