Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission raises wolf hunting quota to 334 and reinstates management units 313 and 316.
The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission has set a higher wolf harvest quota of 334 wolves for the current hunting season, a 21-wolf increase from the previous season, while reinstating wolf management units 313 and 316 bordering Yellowstone National Park, with each district having a quota of 3 wolves. The Commission also approved a ban on the use of electronic motion-tracking devices by wolf hunters or trappers, and authorized the 5% increase in the quota from last year's 313 wolves.
