Mainstreet Credit Union plans to move its Brigden branch to a new location in Petrolia downtown by 2025, replacing the existing Brigden location. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new site on Petrolia Line, across from the post office, took place recently. The move follows the closure of a long-standing Scotiabank branch in Petrolia earlier this year. The new Petrolia branch, which is part of Mainstreet's commitment to serve members in the long term, is expected to have seven employees when it opens.
