Indian government approves 2954.53 crore 5-year extension project for Pune's underground metro line from Swargate to Katraj.

The Indian government has approved a five-year project to extend Pune's underground metro line from Swargate to Katraj by 5.46 km, at an estimated cost of Rs. 2954.53 crore. The Line-1 B extension aims to enhance connectivity within the city and provide seamless integration with the Swargate Multimodal Hub. The project, set for completion in 2029, will be funded equally by the Union and state governments, along with contributions from bilateral agencies.
