Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr appoints Timothy Ruffini, former Cobb County Assistant District Attorney, to lead the state's first Organized Retail Crime Unit. Funded with $1.4M, the unit aims to address criminal networks involved in recurring thefts & acts of violence, combating the $3B annual loss faced by Georgia businesses due to retail theft. The unit is part of the Attorney General's Prosecution Division and works with law enforcement, retailers, & stakeholders.
