Denver-based aerospace firm, York Space Systems, has won a contract from the Space Development Agency (SDA) to build and deliver 10 satellites for Tranche 2 Transport Layer Gamma. These satellites, part of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, will enhance the DoD's Joint All Domain Command and Control capabilities, featuring optical communication terminals and advanced warfighting payloads. The satellites are expected to launch in 2027 and build on York's previous work developing nine satellites for Tranche 0 of the SDA's program.
