Clark County Sheriff's Office reinstates School Resource Officer program for 2024/2025 school year.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) has reinstated its School Resource Officer (SRO) program, which had been paused since 2020 due to budget and staffing constraints. The program, set to resume for the 2024/2025 school year, aims to improve relationships between law enforcement and youth and increase school safety. Deputy Chelsea Quiggle, who has a background in education, has been selected as the Prairie High School SRO. The CCSO plans to provide two SROs for Clark County Schools during the 2024/2025 school year and three more for the following two years, contingent on staffing improvements.
