Chandigarh University students Amit Ranjan & Simran Thakur developed Smart Glasses for visually impaired, winning 1st prize at IIT Ropar. Their innovative device uses Arduino Nano, ultrasonic sensor, buzzer, haptic motor, lithium-ion battery, and step-up module to detect obstacles and alert visually impaired people via auditory and tactile signals, aiding safe navigation in public places. The students filed for patent rights for this unique device.
