32-year-old Jaremy Smith, accused of carjacking and killing NM State Police Officer Justin Hare, will not face the death penalty.

32-year-old Jaremy Smith, accused of carjacking & killing New Mexico State Police Officer Justin Hare, will not face the death penalty. In Marion County, Hare stopped to help Smith with a flat tire, but Smith shot him twice & stole his patrol car. Smith also faces state charges for the killing of Florence County paramedic Phonesia Machado-Fore. His federal trial, where he pleads not guilty, is scheduled for 6th September.
