50-year-old David Ruble, a San Luis Obispo resident, was arrested for stealing approx. $20,000 worth of copper downspouts from Irish Hills Plaza. Ruble sold over 1,000 pounds of copper to a scrap yard since July. He was identified by the public who recognized him from a police Facebook post. Ruble was booked for grand theft, with a $50,000 bail. The police suspect more unreported victims of similar cases.
