NSW Premier Chris Minns will launch a $1m grant program in Moree on August 16, aimed at addressing crime, supporting young people, and improving community safety. The funds will support initiatives that include providing more after-hours activities for young people, helping them stay on the right track and prevent crime. This marks the second visit by Minns to Moree in four months, during which he announced more than $13m for reforms and initiatives to support the town's community safety. A new small-grants program will also be launched to support individuals and small businesses wanting to do more for young people.
