NSW Government expands women's refuge in Armidale, investing $6.8m in modern facilities for domestic violence survivors.

The NSW Government has expanded a women's refuge in Armidale, investing $6.8m in modern facilities for domestic violence survivors in regional areas. The refuge, part of a broader $426.6m investment, now has 4 new self-contained units that promote independent living and privacy, helping families heal from abusive experiences. The Core and Cluster program aims to support 2,900 more women and children escaping domestic and family violence each year once all sites are operational.
