Nigeria's Association of Local Governments (ALGON) partners with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other groups to improve healthcare access and quality in rural communities, addressing limited access to healthcare for rural dwellers. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal 3, focusing on grassroots well-being. ALGON aims to revitalize its Primary Health Care program and revamp 3,000 Village Health Centres within a year, with the goal of achieving Universal Health Coverage by 2030.
