20 Nigerian medical/dental students kidnapped while traveling to Enugu State convention.
20 Nigerian medical and dental students from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Jos, along with a house officer, were kidnapped while traveling to the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students annual convention in Enugu State. The Benue State Police Command confirmed the incident, which occurred at 5:30 PM on August 15 in Otukpo Local Government Area. An investigation has been launched, but no official ransom demand or conditions for release have been made.
