NIA attaches property of Hizbul Mujahideen overground worker Nasir Rashid Bhat in connection to Sarpanch murder in Shopian, J&K.

The NIA has attached the property of Nasir Rashid Bhat, an overground worker of Hizbul Mujahideen, in connection to the murder of a Sarpanch in Jammu & Kashmir's Shopian District in March 2022. Bhat's property, including a residential house at village Tengpora in Shopian, has been attached under Section 33 (1) of UA(P) Act, 1947. The NIA found that Bhat provided his Alto car to terrorists, conducted a recce of the Sarpanch's house, and informed the HM terrorists about the target's presence. Six accused have been charged in the case, and the ongoing trial attempts to dismantle the terror ecosystem in the region.
