New Zealand Volley Ferns lost 27-25, 25-12, 27-25 to the Australian Women's Volleyroos in the Trans-Tasman volleyball series in Auckland, but displayed improvement against pro-player opponents. The Kiwi team's Liz Hanna expressed gratitude for the international opportunity and acknowledged the need to improve finishing and conversion skills. The series' final match is set for August 16th at the Manurewa Netball Centre.
