Memorial University of Newfoundland's board of regents chair, Glenn Barnes, resigned after forwarding a pro-Palestinian email from a student to her father, violating the university's code of conduct and privacy rules. The board had issued Barnes a letter of reprimand and suspended him until he made a public apology and completed privacy training. Vice-chair Anik Rahman will serve as interim leader until a new chair is appointed.
