In Thane, India, a man named Ranjit Saroj, while intoxicated, allegedly bit off a portion of his father Vijayprakash's thumb during a property dispute on August 14. The victim, 53, was treated at a local hospital. Ranjit has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing grievous hurt, criminal intimidation, and other offenses, but has not been arrested yet.
