Madera Community Hospital in California, which closed in January 2023, appoints Steve Stark as its new CEO. Stark, with 12 years of hospital CEO experience, will lead the hospital's reopening plans after filing for bankruptcy in March. A $57M loan from the state's Distressed Hospital Loan Program is awarded to aid the reopening. The hospital aims to reopen by September or October, with a job fair planned for August.
