India's Cabinet approves 2 airport developments: A new civil enclave at Bihta, Patna in Bihar at Rs 1413 crore, and a new civil enclave at Bagdogra Airport, Siliguri in West Bengal at Rs 1549 crore. Both projects aim to address capacity constraints and passenger demand, including terminal buildings with peak capacity to handle 3,000 passengers per hour and aprons for 10 parking bays suitable for specific aircraft types. The Bagdogra Airport development will also integrate renewable energy sources and prioritize natural lighting to minimize ecological impact.
