Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the remaster features improved character models, textures, environments, props, visual effects, and animations. The remastered version includes enhancements such as ray tracing, pre-show simulation techniques for more realistic fluid rendering, an improved injury mark system, and new camera angles. The original game, released in 2015 for PlayStation 4, used the Decima engine developed by Guerrilla Games. Pre-orders for the remastered game will open on August 21, 2024.
