Gilead Sciences sued Peter Khaim and NYC pharmacies for selling counterfeit HIV medications.

Gilead Sciences, a biotech firm, filed a lawsuit against twice-convicted medical fraudster Peter Khaim and two NYC pharmacies, 71st RX and Best Scripts, for running a counterfeit operation involving its HIV medications. Allegedly, Khaim tampered with Gilead prescription bottles to sell counterfeit medications to pharmacies and patients in New York and New Jersey. Gilead recovered over $750k worth of suspected counterfeit treatments.
