Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has purchased a minority stake (1.4%) in his hometown football club, Ipswich Town, through his company Gamechanger 20 Ltd. Sheeran's stake does not grant him a seat on the Premier League club's board. The 33-year-old has been the shirt sponsor for the men's and women's teams since 2021 and expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to own a part of the club he supports. Ipswich Town's chairman, Mark Ashton, expressed pride in the collaboration and praised Sheeran for his unwavering support and significant contribution to the club's global exposure.
