36-year-old Samantha Cookes, accused of defrauding Ireland's Department of Social Protection of nearly €60,000 through fraudulent disability claims, had her case adjourned until August 29 in Tralee District Court. Cookes, who has no fixed address, allegedly made 238 fraudulent welfare payments worth €59,094.30 over a four-year period. Further charges are expected, and she remains in custody at Limerick Prison.
