Usmanu Danfodiyo University in Sokoto State appoints Professor Bashir Garba as its new Vice-Chancellor for a five-year term, commencing September 1st. Born in Sokoto-South Local Government Area, Garba holds a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from the university and has held various administrative roles within and outside the institution, including Vice-Chancellor of Sokoto State University, Commissioner, and Secretary to Sokoto State Government.
