Top-seeded golfer Scottie Scheffler critiques the FedEx Cup playoffs format, despite starting as top-seeded.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler critiques the FedEx Cup playoffs format, despite it starting with him as the top-seeded golfer. The playoffs will see a reduction in participating golfers from 70 to 50 to 30 over the next three weeks, beginning with the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis. Scheffler, who has won at the Masters, Players Championship, and four other signature events, believes the format does not reflect a "season-long race." Despite his concerns, no major changes have been made to the format.
